Hi, thank you for visiting. My name is Brian Kroll and I am a Coleman Popup camper enthusiast. I have been camping all of my life, going on 36 years now. My fondest childhood memories are of my family going on camping trips in the Northeastern US. As an adult and a parent, I am trying to give my family those same memories that I had growing up.
We live in Texas and 4 years ago I decided it was time to start taking my family camping. It me, my wife and 2 small girls at the time. Our needs were pretty basic, but we didn’t have the budget to spend on a full size travel trailer and we didn’t have the space to store it.
So, I decided on getting a popup camper. They are great on storage and very easy to tow. I spent around 6 months researching used popup campers and was a little overwhelmed by the options. You have Coleman, Fleetwood (which is Coleman), Jayco, Starcraft and around 5 other major manufacturers.

It took me 6 months to fully research and determine that Coleman is hands down the best camper and the best used popup to buy. They have the most reliable construction, most reliable lift system and are metal framed based which minimizes the chance of wood rot.
Considering my budget was low and I did not want to take on payments, I went searching on Craiglist and eBay. Both have great opportunities. I ended up buying a 1998 Coleman Westlake off of Craigslist We took it camping that very same weekend and have loved it ever since.
We have taken the camper all over the Northeast section of Texas and are planning on camping the rest of Texas in the next few years.
The Coleman popup camper has provided weeks of comfortable shelter for us, but more importantly has given my children the same memories that I had as a child growing up.
I encourage you to read through this site as it is packed with informative information on Coleman tent trailers and camping tips in general.

Bear creek also sells each section. So, it may be cheaper depending on how much you have to replace.
